Parquet in a commercial space: where it works
Real parquet in a shop is a deliberate choice for look and experience. In a boutique, hair salon, office, showroom or the seating area of a hospitality venue, wood brings a warm, premium atmosphere that tile or PVC can’t match, and that reflects on your brand. Do choose a parquet with a sufficiently thick wear layer and a robust finish, so the floor can handle the foot traffic and can be sanded again when it wears. For a shop, that’s the difference between a floor that looks worn after a year and one that lasts for years.
The benefits of parquet in the shop
- Warm, premium look that strengthens your brand
- Authentic real wood, with a grain and character you can feel
- Sandable, so the floor can be renewed when it wears
- Ideal for boutiques, hair salons, offices, showrooms and hospitality
- Available in various wood species, finishes and patterns
- Large volumes and project quotes available via B2B
What to keep in mind with parquet in retail
Be honest about the load in your space. For heavily used retail with pallet trucks, trolleys or extremely intensive foot traffic (supermarket, DIY store), real parquet isn’t the right choice: go for a commercial PVC floor or wood-effect tiles there, which can take it. For lighter, atmosphere-driven retail, parquet is the real eye-catcher. Choose a use class and wear layer thickness that suit your expected foot traffic, and ask us for advice if you’re unsure.
