What is white parquet?
White doesn’t occur naturally in wood, so white parquet always comes from a finish. By white-oiling, liming, chalking or whitewashing the wood, the natural tone is lightened to a bright, near-white colour, while the grain and structure stay visible and tactile. That gives you the lightest, airiest variant of a wood floor: the calm and brightness of white, with the authenticity of real wood. Where beige parquet still looks warm and soft, white parquet is distinctly light and Scandinavian.

Tip: white needs the right room and some upkeep
White parquet is gorgeous, but bear two things in mind. A white floor shows dust, lint and crumbs faster, so in a busy hallway or entrance hall with outdoor shoes it’s less practical. In a bedroom, office, wardrobe or light living space, white truly comes into its own. Preferably choose a white-oiled or limed parquet where the grain stays clearly visible, as that structure hides small soiling better than a flat, plain white. For the natural, matte white look, an oiled finish is the best choice.
