The Select underlay features a 3-layer structure, each with a specific function to maximize the comfort of your SmartFinish® floor (protective layer, comfort zone, leveling zone).
In high-traffic areas, the tapping sound of shoes can be very disruptive. The comfort zone of the Select is made from closed-cell polyolefin foam, specifically developed for SmartFinish®. This layer always returns to its original state after compression, ensuring optimal contact with the laminate floor and preventing the disturbing drum effect.
Impact noise can be very bothersome to neighbors. Some countries require minimum standards for impact noise reduction in apartment buildings. The honeycomb structure of this underlay reduces sound waves under the floor, which can be disruptive to those living below.
