Why oak parquet?
Oak is by far the most popular wood species for parquet, and that’s no accident. It’s a hard, stable species that handles intensive use, ages beautifully and fits almost any style, from Scandinavian and country to sleek and modern. The characteristic grain and natural colour variation make every oak plank unique. On top of that, oak takes finishing and treatment exceptionally well, which makes it available in a huge range of tones and looks, from near-white to deep smoked.

Which oak look suits you?
Oak owes its popularity partly to its versatility. Light natural oak brings an open, Scandinavian feel, ideal with white walls and light furniture. Warm honey oak gives that classic, cosy look. Smoked or burnt oak is on-trend for modern, design-led interiors with black joinery. White-oiled or limed oak gives a soft, beige tone. The finish (oiled or lacquered) sets the matteness and upkeep, and the laying pattern (straight plank or herringbone) the style.
